A 66-year-old man from West Virginia has been arrested over accusations that he threatened to kill Donald Trump , promising to "execute" the president on White House grounds if he attempted to remain in office after his second term.

Michael Ray Sigmon was taken into custody this week and charged with one count of making threats of terrorist acts and one count of producing a harassing computer communication, records show.

Troopers with the West Virginia State Police on Oct. 12 received a complaint regarding numerous violent threats against government officials, Huntington NBC affiliate WSAZ reported , citing a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
