A 39-year-old Bridgeton man was arrested after he assaulted a person with a brick on Wednesday, Oct. 22, authorities said.

At 5:13 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of E. Commerce Street after Arabe Natal threw a brick and struck a person in the shoulder, Bridgeton police said.

The victim suffered a contusion to their shoulder, police said.

Natal was arrested and transported to the Bridgeton Police Department where he was  charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and weapon possession for an unlawful purpose, police said. Natal was also charged with robbery for an unrelated incident, police said.
