Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach Chauncey Billups has been suspended indefinitely by the NBA. Billups was arrested on Thursday morning by the FBI for charges of illegal gambling, specifically participating in an organized crime racket involving illegal poker games.

On the heels of that news, the NBA has placed Billups, along with Miami veteran Terry Rozier, “on leave”. From the NBA Communications Department:

We are in the process of reviewing the federal indictments announced today. Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups are being placed on immediate leave from their teams, and we will continue to cooperate with relevant authorities. We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness, and the integrity of the game remains our top priority.
