Regionals have arrived for cross country teams in Michigan .
Four Cheboygan-area teams – Cheboygan, Inland Lakes, Mackinaw City and Onaway – will all be competing at the same venue in Mancelona, as the Chiefs will run in Division 3, while the Bulldogs, Comets and Cardinals race in Division 4.
As we head into Saturday’s regional races, here’s some key questions and things to watch.
Which teams can make a run at states?
As far as area teams go, I believe there’s two squads who have a reasonable chance to qualify for the state finals, which will be held at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, Nov. 1.
First, the Mackinaw City boys have the best chance because they’re the deepest of the bunch.
