Louisiana State Police is investigating the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian on Plank Road on Wednesday afternoon, a spokesman said.

James Rasberry of Hodge, was walking along the southbound shoulder of Plank Road, north of La. 408 in East Baton Rouge Parish, when an unknown driver struck and killed him and fled the scene, State Police said.

"Troopers are continuing to investigate and work to identify the vehicle involved," State Police said.
