Certain individuals with cancer were significantly more likely to survive if they received a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, according to researchers at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center . This result was seen specifically in patients being treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors, a form of immunotherapy. The improvement was independent of the vaccine manufacturer or number of doses that the patients received.
