About 1,800 "No Kings Day of Peaceful Action" protesters of President Donald Trump 's administration gathered Oct. 18 in downtown Murfreesboro, according to a news release.

Many participants held signs and some wore costumes on the sidewalk at Broad Street, joining a national protest against the Republican president with an estimated 8.1 million people showing up at over 2,600 events throughout the country, the news release from local spokeswoman of Murfreesboro Indivisible Terri Sterling Donovan reported.
