MANHATTAN — Kansas State women's basketball will begin the 2025-26 season as a ranked program , according to the USA TODAY Sports Preseason Women's Basketball Poll that was released Thursday, Oct. 23.
The Wildcats enter the year ranked No. 25. They finished last season ranked 16th after making a run to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
TCU (12), Iowa State (17), Baylor (18) and Oklahoma State (22) are the other Big 12 programs that cracked the preseason poll . West Virginia is the first team out, with no other Big 12 teams receiving votes.
UCONN, South Carolina, Texas, UCLA and LSU round out the top five.
