The commitment from a player who spent a season in the G-League with multiple organizations sparked debates in the college basketball world, prompting Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo to call it ridiculous and embarrassing.

ESPN analyst Jimmy Dykes took to social media Wednesday to ponder the collective sanity of college basketball.

Debates on the eligibility conundrum extended to Big 12 Media Days in Kansas City on Wednesday.

“I’m trying to flip the rock on every one of them,” K-State head coach Jerome Tang said of the potential new route for player acquisition.

Tang pointed out that junior wing Elias Rapieque came to K-State from a professional league in Germany.
