Police in Australia said that a mother of three who was missing for a week has been found dead.

Michelle Joan Leahy, 50, was last seen on the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 16, in the Perth suburb of Nedlands, Western Australia Police Force's Perth District said in on Facebook .

She "was last seen wearing light brown sandals, chequered blue long pants, [a] white long sleeve top, [a] black baseball cap and what appears to be a blue side bag," police confirmed in a media release obtained by PEOPLE.
