The allegations against Portland Trail Blazers coach and former NBA guard Chauncey Billups involve rigged poker games, in which the defendants defrauded players out of money by using technology to know which cards were dealt.

But it turns out allegations against Billups and poker came out... in 2023. Matt Berkey is a poker pro who spoke on the Only Friends podcast about how a game "built around Chauncey Billups" was "on the up and up."

But Berkey replied that he knew people involved and it most certainly was not. He didn't play in it, but he had friends who did.

"Obviously, it was for sure confirmed to be cheating," he said, noting betting patterns that seemed weird and pros who were losing.
