MEMPHIS - For the second straight season opener, the New Orleans Pelicans lost a starter to injury. The good news this time around is that it doesn't sound as serious.

Second-year center Yves Missi suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night’s 128-122 road loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

He is listed as day to day, and is questionable for Friday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Last season, Pelicans’ guard Dejounte Murray fractured his left hand in the first game of the season against the Chicago Bulls.
