HUNT COUNTY, Texas — A UPS driver was killed in a crash with a train in Hunt County, northeast of Dallas, on Thursday morning, officials said.
The company confirmed that one of its drivers died in the incident, which happened around 11:30 a.m. near County Roads 1152 and 1153 in the community of Floyd, according to a release from the Hunt County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded and confirmed the crash was between a UPS truck and a train. Footage from the scene showed a heavily damaged UPS truck which also caught fire.
"Our thoughts are with our driver’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time," UPS officials said in a statement. "We are cooperating fully with the authorities to understand what happened and defer additional questions to them."
