PINSON, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — The Alabama Department of Transportation says unlawful access to its property played a key role in Sunday morning’s deadly shooting at a bonfire gathering in Pinson.
In a statement, ALDOT expressed sympathy for the victims and their families, calling the incident a “tragedy” and confirming the agency is fully cooperating with investigators. The department emphasized that the land, which it has owned for nearly a decade, has long been marked as restricted.
