Hyderabad: The State Cabinet has decided to wait for the High Court’s decision on extending 42 per cent reservations to Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections .
The case concerning BC reservations is scheduled for hearing in the High Court on November 3. Based on the outcome of the proceedings, the government will decide on conducting the elections, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said.
