President Donald Trump has pardoned former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, who spent four months behind bars after pleading guilty to a federal money laundering charge.
The pardon, which was signed by Trump on Wednesday, Oct. 22, was first reported by The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, Oct. 23.
“President Trump exercised his constitutional authority by issuing a pardon for Mr. Zhao, who was prosecuted by the Biden Administration in their war on cryptocurrency,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statemen
