SALEM, Ore. - Governor Tina Kotek (D-Ore.) has signed Executive Order 25-26 to prioritize climate resilience in Oregon's state programs, according to state officials.
The order aims to enhance benefits for both communities and ecosystems. According to Gov. Kotek, the order focuses on implementing proactive policies to protect priority lands and waters. She highlighted the importance of helping landowners manage landscapes to withstand climate change.
Andrew Maggi from The Pew Charitable Trusts praised the order.
