COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A teen has been convicted in the shooting death of Columbus State University Graduate 23-year-old Ryan Boles.
18-year-old Jadarius Snipes, who was 16 at the time of the crime, was found guilty of felony murder and first-degree robbery after prosecutors argued he served as an accessory to murder and encouraged the killing rather than trying to stop it.
Boles was shot and killed on December 12, 2023 , in the 1000 block of 13th Street in Phenix City after leaving a Christmas party. Boles was found in his vehicle, which was parked in the back parking lot of Synovus Bank.
Prosecution case
Prosecutor Rick Chancey explained accessory to murder laws and robbery laws to jurors during the trial. The prosecution described Boles as a happy person who was thriving in life.
