VIRGINIA - Canada's Rachel Homan rallied from an early deficit to post an 11-9 win over South Korea's Eunji Gim on Thursday at the Pan Continental Curling Championships.

Gim scored four in the second end to take an early 4-1 lead over Homan, the defending tournament champion.

But Homan's Ottawa rink responded quickly, outscoring Gim 6-1 over the next four ends and taking the lead with a steal of two in the sixth.

South Korea moved back in front 8-7 with three in the seventh, but Homan responded with three in the eighth and took a three-point cushion into the final end with a steal of one in the ninth.

The win improved Canada’s record to 3-1 while South Korea dropped to 1-3.

Homan faced China's Rui Wang (4-0) later Thursday.
