A Philadelphia man has been charged in the death of a woman whose body was found last weekend buried in a shallow grave behind an abandoned school.
Keon King, 21, has been charged with murder, abuse of corpse, robbery, theft, tampering with evidence, and additional crimes in the death of Kada Scott, 23, who had been missing since the night of Oct. 4.
The charges came after the Medical Examiner’s Office ruled her death a homicide. The official cause of death, however, has not been made public yet, but sources told the Philadelphia Inquirer that she had been shot.
Investigators also told news outlets they believe at least one other person helped King move Scott’s body and bury it.
