TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Second Harvest of the Big Bend is set to host its 3rd annual Taste in the Garden Thursday evening to help families facing hunger.
The annual event will be filled with food, drinks and live music for attendees to enjoy at Tallahassee Nurseries, according to the food bank.
As of Thursday afternoon, the event has raised over $112,000 between donations and tickets purchased for the event, Second Harvest’s website revealed . All proceeds are set to benefit Second Harvest and help them feed families in need.
As the government shutdown continues , many families are expected to face reduced food assistance next week.
