Leave it to Joe Flacco to add one more wild turn to the Cincinnati Bengals ’ rollercoaster of a season.

The Bengals’ acquisition of the 40-year-old quarterback from the Cleveland Browns seemed like one last Hail Mary attempt to replace the injured Joe Burrow. After a resounding loss to the Green Bay Packers in his Bengals debut, Flacco turned in one of the best performances of his career, throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-31 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. A team that looked dead in the water is now just a game and a half out of first place in the AFC North, and there suddenly seems to be a pathway to hang around until Burrow can return in mid-December.
