The NYPD cleared the Whitehall Ferry Terminal in Manhattan following a report for a suspicious package Thursday afternoon.

According to a spokesperson for the NYPD, the suspicious package report came in around 2:44 p.m. for 4 South St. in the vicinity of the 1st Precinct.

Further investigation found that there was no threat to the terminal.

At around 3:26 p.m., Notify NYC issued an alert on X, urging residents to avoid the area around Whitehall Ferry Terminal as police were conducting an investigation.

“Police Activity: Expect traffic delays, road closures, emergency personnel, and mass transit disruptions between Manhattan & Staten Island due to a police investigation near the Whitehall Ferry Terminal in Manhattan. Avoid the area,” the post stated.
