ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – A Brevard County woman was arrested this week after she reportedly threatened to burn down Rockledge High School, according to the police department.
In an arrest affidavit, police said they received a report about the incident on Tuesday after the woman — identified as Brandie Covington, 40 — called the school to complain.
“Covington was irate because her daughter’s boyfriend had his school-supplied lunch taken away from him due to lack of funds in his account,” the affidavit reads. “(The employee) began to explain the school’s process of dealing with students without money in their account, and Covington began to yell and cuss at her.”
