Light and space legend James Turrell is set to unveil his largest, and "most ambitious," Skyspace installation to date.

Measuring 16 meters tall and 40 meters wide, the work, entitled As Seen Below - The Dome, will premiere on June 19, 2026 at the ARoS Aarhus Art Museum in Denmark, just in time for next year’s summer solstice.

Much like all of Turrell’s Skyspace’s, the installation envelops the domed space in a wash subtly shifting fields of color, while a circular aperture at its apex opens up to the sky. Meditative, even monastic at times,
