Pride of Britain viewers were left ‘crying’ within minutes after a 12-year-old boy was surprised by a A-list Hollywood star.

Organised in partnership with the Daily Mirror, TSB Bank, Lidl, ITV , Good Morning Britain, and The Prince's Trust, the ceremony has been held every year since 1999.

This year’s event was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Monday night (October 21), with ITV viewers seeing how the night unfolded on Thursday (October 23).

Back on presenting duties was Carol Vorderman, who has hosted every single ceremony, and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo, who made his debut as her co-host last year.

The first award showcased in the broadcast was the Child of Courage, which was presented to Embsay native Luke Mortimer.
