Ford Motor Co. said it will "significantly increase" its production of the popular and profitable F-150 and F-Series Super Duty pickups to meet demand and to offset the production losses the company took in recent weeks following a fire that destroyed part of aluminum supplier Novelis' plant in New York.

Ford said on Oct. 23 that it will boost its F-Series production volume by more than 50,000 trucks next year, ramping up from the first quarter of 2026. The automaker said the move will create up to 1,000 new jobs, 900 of them in Michigan and 100 more in Kentucky.
