STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 41-year-old man severed a victim’s artery in a brutal stabbing in West Brighton, authorities allege.

Marc Antonio Jose Medina was indicted on attempted murder and other charges in the attack on Oct. 16 at about 1 a.m. in the multi-family building where he lives on Cary Avenue near Caroline Street, according to the criminal complaint and police.
