The World Health Organisation has confirmed that 41 critically ill patients have been medically evacuated from Gaza – the first large group to leave since the ceasefire agreement.

Up to now, only a small number of patients have been able to leave for treatment in other countries including some who’ve arrived in this country on a UK government-backed scheme.
