BOISE, Idaho — Effective Oct. 23, speed limits have been reduced for all Lime micromobility devices in popular Boise spaces after the city worked with the company to increase rider safety.

The City of Boise in a news release Thursday announced it is reducing maximum speeds for e-bikes and e-scooters on the Boise Greenbelt and in downtown Boise in partnership with Lime.

Lime devices will go up to 10 mph in downtown Boise from 6 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Riders on the Boise Greenbelt can travel at a maximum speed of 12 mph at all times.

Lime devices previously had the ability to reach up to 15 mph, according to the city.
