BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man involved in a "violent" sucker punch case outside a Florida Aldi was arrested Wednesday, the Broward County Sheriff's Office announced.

The sheriff's office said deputies responded to the Aldi on North State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes around 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 11 for a battery case.

According to investigators, a man who was later identified as Dandrea Johnson was seen in surveillance videos arguing with someone inside the store.

At some point, deputies said Johnson went outside the store and waited for the victim.

The video showed the victim leaving the store with his dog and getting sucker punched by Johnson, the sheriff's office said.

The victim fell backward and hit his head, "sustaining significant and serious injuries."
