Local schools will be well represented at next Saturday’s state cross country meet in Colorado Springs.
Six teams and another four individuals qualified after finishing among the top four teams and top 15 individuals at Thursday’s Class 3A, 4A and 5A Region 4 meets at Monfort Park in Greeley.
In Class 4A, The Thompson Valley boys led the way, claiming their fourth straight regional title by finishing with 19 points. The Eagles had nine runners finish in the top 15, although only the top five contributed to the team score.
Jacob Crisman led a 1-2-3 finish for the Eagles, winning with a time of 15 minutes, 30.9 seconds. Trent Gabrielson was second in 15:45.5, and Levi Smela was third in 16:06.9.
