A two-motorcycle wreck on Interstate 5 killed one rider on Saturday, according to Oregon State Police.

Joshua David Moore, 42, of Springfield, was traveling north near milepost 234 in Linn County when he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle and laid the bike down in the road. Another northbound motorcyclist, Jan Allen Hicks Sr., 60, of Eugene, could not avoid Moore and ran into him.

Moore was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Hicks Sr. was not injured in the crash.

I-5 was blocked for an hour on Saturday during the investigation.
