BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The LSU Presidential Search Committee revealed its list of five candidates who presently appear to have the most support to become the university’s next president during a meeting on campus Thursday afternoon.
The rankings were based on the level of committee support and qualifications each candidate has, the search committee said.
The top five include Interim LSU President Matt Lee and the current president of McNeese State University. The name of one of the top candidates was not listed at the request of that particular candidate.
Before being named interim president, Dr. Lee served as LSU’s Vice President for Agriculture and Dean of the College of Agriculture.
