NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KETK) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man accused of bringing more than 2 pounds of crystal meth from Houston to sell in Nacogdoches.
Sheriff's office deputies were conducting a traffic stop on a Ford pickup truck on Oct. 17 after it was spotted speeding in a construction zone while heading north on U.S. Highway 59, according to a press release.
The deputies became suspicious of the driver's behavior and asked to search his vehicle. After obtaining the driver's permission, deputies allegedly found a cardboard box in the driver's toolbox.
According to the sheriff's office, 2.4 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, 123 grams of Alprazolam pills and an unreleased amount of marijuana were found inside the cardboard box.
