J&D Brush has recalled curling irons that may break apart and burn the user.

The Bio Ionic one-inch-long barrel curling irons were sold between August 2022 and July 2024 online at Amazon and Bioionic.com and online and stores including Salon Centric, Ulta, Sephora and Nordstrom for about $165, according to an announcement with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The company said it has received 258 reports of the barrel detaching. There have been six minor burn injuries.

“The barrel of the curling iron can snap and detach, posing a burn hazard to consumers,” the company said.

About 357,000 curling irons are recalled . The model number of the recalled units is LXT-CL-1.0 with a date code between 0722 and 1223. The date code is engraved on the prongs of the plug.
