FOXBOROUGH - Kyle Dugger has seen a significant uptick in playing time largely due to Jaylinn Hawkins hamstring injury.
The veteran safety, who barely got on the field the first five games, has taken most of the snaps opposite rookie Craig Woodson during the last two games.
With the Nov. 4 trade deadline fast approaching, Dugger’s name has once again been mentioned. ESPN analyst Bill Barnwell, for one, believes it makes sense for the Patriots to deal the defensive back.
While Dugger said he doesn’t pay much attention to social media, or even own an account, he knows given his situation, he could be headed elsewhere at some point in the next 12 days.
Asked if his preference was to remain in New England, the Patriots 2020 second-round pick didn’t answer with a yes or no.
