LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Estacado Matadors (6-2) are now on a five-game winning streak, the last four victories have been decided by one score. The team’s 35-33 win at Hereford on Sept. 5 was also won at the final play of the game.

While EHS makes the 2 1/2 trip up north to face a winless Borger team, head coach Eric Ward hopes to win with less anxiety. However, he says, their upcoming opponent is not to be overlooked.

“The Bulldogs, they’re a very young team. They’re competitive. It looked like they’re kind of played with some injuries in some certain areas, but you know, that’s football. They’re going to play lights out. They’re going to give it all they got and they’re not to be overlooked or by any means,” he said.
