Vermont has received word from the USDA that SNAP benefits won’t be available in November, amid the federal government shutdown.
The Department for Children and Families announced Wednesday that, per the U.S. Department of Agriculture, all states are to pause the issuance of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds, as there’s no money in the fund while the government is shut down.
