FOSTORIA, Ohio — A 75-year-old man who was injured in a reported garage explosion in Fostoria Thursday has died, according to a press release from Fostoria's Fire Division Friday morning.

According to the release, the Ohio State Fire Marshall's Office told Fostoria Fire Division at 8:30 a.m. Friday that the victim was reported deceased by the hospital. the victim was not identified in the press release.

Authorities were first dispatched to a report of a home explosion in Fostoria Thursday afternoon.

According to the Fostoria Fire Division chief, police and fire crews were dispatched to the 400 block of South Wood Street shortly after 4 p.m. in response to a potential home explosion. Once on scene, they found a detached garage on fire with a 75-year-old man still inside.
