SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - The Glo Center in Springfield launched a fundraising campaign to upgrade security after criminals targeted the facility at least twice in the past month.
The agency provides support and resources to the local LGBTQ community.
Someone stole most of the center’s technology Monday night, including its phone system. In September, the center closed for a day after someone left unspent rifle bullets outside the building with threats written on the casings.
Springfield police are investigating both incidents.
The Glo Center hopes to raise $6,000 to upgrade security at its Commercial Street location.
Community members can show support by attending the center’s monthly market this weekend. Vendors will sell paintings, jewelry, and other items at the Glo Market from noo
