Members of Joplin’s Charter Review Commission spent 90 minutes listening to public comments Wednesday night before discussing among themselves five issues they’ve been asked to review by the Joplin City Council.
On Sept. 15, the council asked the commission to consider five area listed as amendments to the charter that would then have to be sent to voters in April 2026. The council charged the commission with having its report ready by Dec. 1 to give the council enough time to meet the state deadline for placing items on the April ballot. ×
