CHARLESTON, S.C. Charleston, S.C. — The former Charleston County Magistrate Judge James Gosnell Jr. will remain behind bars after his arraignment hearing Thursday morning, following his indictment of multiple federal charges relation to possession of child sexual abuse material.

Gosnell, who served as a judge in Charleston County for over twenty years, pleaded not guilty to 6 of the charges outlined in the 9-count indictment. The charges include possession of child pornography, receipt of and attempted receipt of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and conspiracy charges, according to federal court records. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.

A redacted co-conspirator was also referenced in the indictment.
