A man was left with serious injuries following an assault in Bolton this evening.

Police were called to reports of the incident on Church Road, Kearsley, at around 2.30pm on Thursday (October 23).

GMP say that the man was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening. Pictures from the scene also show large quantities of blood on a wall at the scene.

No arrests have been made as enquiries continue. There is no wider threat to the community according to police.
