A pedestrian has died and a rider has been arrested after an e-bike crash in Sydney's west.
The 65-year-old pedestrian was hit by the e-bike near Greenmeadows Crescent in Toongabbie just before 10pm on Wednesday night.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition, but died yesterday, police said.
Police allege the rider of the e-bike fled the scene of the accident.
An investigation led police to arrest a 45-year-old man in Seven Hills yesterday.
He was taken to Blacktown Police Station, however, he has since been released without charge pending further inquiries.
