Minneapolis, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A tragedy in August had a miracle update on Thursday, arriving in a white limousine.
According to The Catholic Spirit/Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, on Oct. 23, 12-year-old Sophia Forchas was released from Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, where she was receiving inpatient rehabilitation.
Sophia was one of the victims of the deadly Annunciation Catholic School shooting in August that claimed the lives of Fletcher Merkel, 8, and Harper Moyski, 10 .
On her way home, Sophia received a police escort to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. There she was greeted by a crowd of hospital staff who treated her after she was injured during the shooting.
