Free agent defensive end Carl Lawson signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday after a recent workout, according to multiple media reports.

Lawson, 30, has not yet played this season after recording five sacks in 2024 on a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys. He played his first four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals after they drafted him in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

“Back to the AFC North,” Lawson said in a post on his X account.

Per The Athletic, Lawson will start out on the practice squad, but Baltimore will likely expect to fast-track his debut for a unit that ranks 30th in total defense (380.8 yards per game) and dead last in scoring defense (32.3 points per game).
