AMES, Iowa — Mary Greeley Medical Center received funding to acquire and implement the NarcBox System, an advanced narcotic security and tracking solution designed to combat opioid theft and misuse in the community.

The initiative was led by Dieter Friton, Director of Mobile Intensive Care Services at Mary Greeley Medical Center, who emphasized the department’s commitment to ensuring the safe handling and accountability of controlled substances. “This technology will allow us to update our medication security, and reduce risk,” said Friton.
