Kim Kardashian is opening up about feeling like she had “Stockholm syndrome” while going through her breakup with Kanye West .

So, what exactly does that mean? And what did she have to say about it?

The Cleveland Clinic defines Stockholm syndrome as “a coping mechanism to a captive or abusive situation. People develop positive feelings toward their captors or abusers over time. This condition applies to situations including child abuse, coach-athlete abuse, relationship abuse and sex trafficking.”

The condition was first named after a bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden back in 1973 when some of the bank employees developed sympathetic feelings for the bank robbers.

Kim shared her feelings during the season seven premiere of The Kardashians , which is now streaming on Hulu.
