LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Simmons Bank Championship tees off Friday at Pleasant Valley Country Club, bringing some of the best golfers from around the world — and one familiar face for Razorback fans.

Former Arkansas golfer Tag Ridings, who played for the Razorbacks from 1993 to 1997, will compete in this year’s tournament. For Ridings, it’s a full-circle moment decades in the making.

During his time in Fayetteville, Ridings won three individual titles, earned Second-Team All-SEC honors three times, and tied for sixth in the SEC Championship. He was also inducted into the University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor in 2019.

Now, he’s back on home turf — this time, as a professional golfer.
